Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘leave US to be taken seriously’ on Colombia tour

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have to leave the country to be taken seriously, as shown during their trip to Colombia, according to a US-based royal expert.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are based in Montecito, California, where they live with their two small children, Archie, six, and Lilibet, three. And while the Royal Family is winding down, enjoying their summer break, the Sussexes are gearing up and are currently in South America for a four-day visit.
Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield told Daily Express US that while they are on a private trip, “Prince Harry and Meghan are happy with the optics of a royal tour.” However, she believes they are “willing to show up to wherever someone is willing to take them seriously, which has required them to leave the United States a lot lately.”
The To Di for Daily host also claims the “conversations surrounding these types of trips are ‘will Harry and Meghan become disruptive diplomatically?'” referring to feelings inside the British royal households.
Harry and Meghan were invited to Colombia by Vice President Márquez as part of their drive to publicize a new online safety initiative.
It is the second time this year the Sussexes have ventured on what has been labeled a ‘quasi royal tour’ after they visited Nigeria in May.
Their trip began in the capital Bogotá on Thursday and the itinerary includes visits to Cartagena and Cali.

Former royal butler Anthony Cawdron told Daily Express US the tour will not be paid for by King Charles and the Royal Family.
He said: “My opinion of this is, why are they going? What is the purpose of it other than to just to be noticed for going? And, who has to pay for all of this travel?
